WordPress reporting PHP Upgrade required

If WordPress is reporting that the version of PHP needs upgrading after the version has been upgraded in eXtend or cPanel, ot may be because there is a version override in place within the .htaccess file in your WordPress installation directory.


RewriteEngine Off

SetEnv DEFAULT_PHP_VERSION 53 <----------------- You have to remove this line

DirectoryIndex index.cgi index.php
