How we work

Planned work, done properly

We look after a small number of WordPress sites, so each one gets senior attention and you always know what’s happening and when.

Weekly maintenance

Every care plan site is maintained in a weekly session: backups checked, updates applied, and the site checked afterwards. Critical security updates don’t wait for the session; they’re applied within two working days. If an update causes a problem, we roll it back to the last working version and tell you, with a quote if your site needs changes to use the new version.

Requests

  • Send them however suits you, by email or through the client portal. Every request is tracked, so nothing gets lost and you can see where it’s up to.
  • If your site stops doing its job, it comes first. Forms or downloads not working, the shop not taking orders, pages not displaying: mark it urgent and it goes to the front of the queue, picked up as soon as we see it.
  • Got a deadline coming up? Tell us early and we’ll plan it in, so it never needs to be urgent.

Let’s talk face to face

Calls are video meetings on Google Meet, booked at a time that suits you. That way we’ve looked at your site beforehand, and you have our full attention.

Security

  • Every update is backed up first, applied in the weekly session and checked afterwards, and rolled back if it causes a problem.
  • Passwords and access details are kept in a password manager, never in email or documents.
  • Fewer plugins, chosen carefully. Every plugin is code that needs updating and a possible way in.

Hosting and backups

Business Essentials includes fast WordPress hosting, set up and looked after by us; the other plans work wherever your site is hosted. On Business plans the database is backed up daily and files weekly, kept off the server. If a site we host goes down at night or over a weekend, the hosting provider’s support team is on the server around the clock, and anything on the WordPress side is picked up the next working day, ahead of everything else.

Documented

The way we work is written down, from onboarding a new client to restoring a backup. It means work is done the same careful way every time, and your site never depends on one person’s memory. The practical guides we write are published in our help centre.

What we focus on

We do WordPress: keeping it secure, up to date and easy to edit, and helping your team use it well. For design, marketing or advertising, we work alongside specialists and are happy to introduce you.

Not sure where to start?

Most new clients start with a WordPress audit: a fixed-price review of your site’s health, security, hosting and editing set-up, with a written report and a call to talk it through. If we go on to work together, the cost is credited against your care plan.
